As always, random news update.
Back in school. My classes are mostly pretty good... The pain in the ass one will probably be my Intro to Journalism class. At least the teacher doesn't seem psycho, however. Unfortunately, I have classes every single day. To my relief, yet annoyance, three of those days are single class days. At least my car will be active. Ah well, let's get on to my classes.
Scriptwriting
This class has so far been the most fun and useful. I did have to watch a bunch of movies and read two plays before class started (which i didn't, I just watched them all after the first day of class. Still have 1 play and one movie to go). Watching and reading them though has given me a little appreciation to some of the movies though. Watched Good Will Hunting for the first time ever, and enjoyed it. Moonstruck however, was a very annoying film. So many problems going everywhere and of course it all works out in the end. The only good part of that movie was when the old guy at the end goes, "I'm confused!" Finding Nemo was excellent as I thought it would be. I only saw bits and parts of it before now. Star Wars: A New Hope was kind bland to me. I never was a Star Wars fan, but I'll say the movie is watchable. Only ONE part at the end made me get really into it, when everyone was in their aircrafts trying to shoot down Darth Vader's big place thing. I also re-read Death of a Salesman which I enjoyed mostly, but felt like I was forcing myself to read through it. I always liked Arthur Miller's work, just maybe I wasn't in the mood when I read it.
We also made up scenes in class the other day; had to put a job with a stereotype, but make sure it was completely whacked or warped. In my group, we made a ghetto rabbi and a senile old man working as customer service interact. XD
Mathematics 2
This class is just to fill my stupid requirement for math in my degree. It's not too hard at this time, it's just meh... Nothind too hard.
Intro to Journalism
This class looks fun yet a lot of hard work. We have to do 11 new stories which I'm a little worried about... but I'm sure as I get more info it should seem not to be too hard... Already have an idea for it.
Intro to Business
This was taken only because I couldn't get any other needed classes... So I took one that I felt I could use in my life and wouldn't have a stupid research paper. (And I lucked out, no fucking research papers AT ALL! HA HA! FUCK YOU RESEARCH PAPERS!) The class seems like fun, but may become a thorn in my side. It'll be the first thing on the chopping block should I start falling behind, however.
I had to send my Wii to Nintendo. It was having trouble reading dual-layered discs... which strangely enough, ONLY Super Smash Brothers Brawl happens to be. I'm a bit sad since that means I have to miss out on Animal Crossing City Folk for awhile... And Jess is certainly pissed off at me since she wanted to use it for Wii fit and her other new workout game. But I want to be able to play brawl again.
I also thought the inauguration of President Obama was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too hyped. I just really started to get annoyed since everywhere I went, it felt as if that was the only new worth mentioning that day. I honestly have no fucking care in the world about it though. He was the only candidate that sucked less, in my opinion. And it's funny... people go on about it claiming it to be the most historical moment. Honestly... All we did was instead of getting a white guy to lie and piss us off is a black guy to lie and piss us off. No real difference.
Alright enough about that. That day is over so it's not AS annoying.
And uh... I've gotten back into Shin Chan by watching it online. Sucks Adult Swim took it off their website, but at least awesome people uploaded them on YouTube. :)
