Preparations

I'm so excited! My cruise with the family is coming up (I leave early early Friday morning, board ship on Saturday)! I've been running all over the place getting supplies, clothes, film, etc. Most things are done now, so I can concentrate on the psyching myself up part :)

The cruise, for those who don't know is an alternative spring break thing for families of High School Students. My parents never allowed their kids to go to Cancun alone or things like that. Instead, when we are seniors in HS, we take a big family trip. The summer after I graduated we took a big road trip from MI out west, seeing all the sights and spending time with our family in Southern CA. It ended up being 13 days and something along the lines of 7000 miles. Towards the end, family togetherness wasn't near as fun as when we started... .

Since my sister is a senior in HS this year, and has lots of summer work plans, we are taking a 7 night cruise around the caribbean :) Mom asked if I wanted to go...duh! I love being on the water, and am always interested in traveling. We leave from Miami and have day stops in Ocho Rios(Jamaica), Cozumel(Mexico), Georgetown(Grand Cayman), and Bahama Island(Bahamas). Its going to be so much fun! And a ship is large enough that I can basically stay away from my sister and he goofy friends except for sleeping (I am sharing a room with my sister and 2 of her friends). I will be broke when I come back of course from all the shore excursions. I may only be there once, so I am cramming a lot in (horseback riding on the beach, swimming with sting rays, swimming with dolphins, parasailing, and possibly some snorkeling/quasi-scuba diving).

Anyway, still have lots to do and lots to pack. I have all day tomorrow to do stuff, I work Thursday, but will still have Thurs evening, and then leave at like 4 am on Friday! Wish me fun and safe travels!
