Fuck you ovaries!!
I'm at the DMV and I'm waiting to submit my paperwork for my motorcycle license. I'm just reading up on ovarian cysts and decided that I need to have it removed. Although, in doing so there is a good chance they will remove my right ovary as well.
Last night I suddenly developed a fever and eventually threw up. My period is 8 days late, but 3 negative pregnancy tests in 3 days relieve me of a possible baby. I asked my mother about it, because she had cysts at my age that were surgically removed, and she's all "the tests are wrong, you must be pregnant!". And Im like. Momma. The technology in pee strip tests have improved since the 70s I think. I took 3 after my missed period. I took one this morning. They're all negative.
My periods have been regular for years. No longer can I count days as a form of BC. I'm considering going on the pill. Robert says he just wants a vasectomy buuuuut I'm not sure if there's money for that. And I think he should wait a little longer. We're only 26 What if you DO want babies some day?
According to good old web md, it may be that the cyst has ruptured. I'm sad and freaking out only slightly. Is my chemistry going to change when they remove it? And what about my ovary if they remove that? Does that screw up my hormones as well? My cycle?
I can put a check next to every line on this list. I have an appointment with the gyno tomorrow.
I have the tradeshow and then burning man at the end of this month. I was hoping to hold off a surgery until September because it wasn't bothering me, but I may have to do it sooner. Bleh :/
