Happy Lunar New Year!

Year of the Dragon had better be better than Year of the Rabbit. Other than a friend's baby getting made, a lot of that year was pretty darned horrid. Lots of chaos, strife and loss. Let's move on and up!

I've been watching the Honey and Clover anime. I'd been a fan of the serialization in the now-defunct Shojo Beat, but had not expected the anime would be so good. The voice acting, the pace of the episodes, and the character designs are delightful. The earlier episodes have more comedy, but drama creeps in and takes over as the characters age and develop. I'm almost done, though. 4 more episodes to go. I don't watch much anime anymore, so it was a real treat to head back in and find something good right away.

Today, The Hub and I went to Rutts Inn for some Hawaiian food. I had to get my Spam and fish cake fix, so I got a bowl of saimin. He got one of the Royales, which is like an unstructured omelet. Get that teriyaki sauce on it, scarf it up, and you're good for hours. I've not tried their loco moco, but I always appreciate the chance to eat some macaroni salad. Maybe next time. When we got home, I grabbed my camera and walked around for a couple of hours. I'm slowly getting better at taking shots without thinking too much. I'm not a great photographer by any stretch, but I do like taking pictures. I've started a new collage project, too. We'll see how that works out.

My aches aren't as sharp and I'm still taking the herbs. It's hard to say how much of this is due to placebo, but I thought I'd try them since I'm in no acute health danger and Western medicine's been rather useless. I'll phone Mom and ask her about arthritis. I come from a long line of creaky women, after all.

Hope you're well. Eat something good, get some hugs, and spend time with someone you like.
