More Mushrooms, Mo' Problems...

Actually, no mushroom problems. Not really. The weather's starting to cool, so the fruiting season for a wider variety of fungi is fast approaching. I've been making spore prints and taking different routes on my walks, to see if I can identify more types of mushrooms. I've also been learning more about other plants and have been able to keep herbs alive in containers just outside our door. I spend so much time indoors and online and feel so disconnected from nature. I needed to do something. I feel wrong when I'm not doing something for a reason, so I've turned all of this into research. I think that's as spiritual as I get, though I've tried to embrace a few different paths, try on a few things for size.

Is there a Scholar's Path?

Today, The Hub and I went to IHOP for dinner. I needed coffee and hate Starbucks. He was hungry. IHOP's walkable. The coffee's tolerable, the staff's nice and attentive. Achievement Unlocked. The current cycles of headache involve lots of nausea, but I'll take more nausea on if I can get a little relief from the "hot, sharp pins on my scalp feeling".

But I digress.

It was nice to sit across from him and catch up on his week. He's been playing random fill-in gigs around town, so run-throughs and gigs are random. I like just looking at him, seeing how his eye color changes in the light. S'nice.
