Steven came over yesterday and we did important stuff like getting our passport photos done, and unimportant things like making chocolate flapjacks. We also watched Brokeback Mountain which I was disappointed with. Was my illegally downloaded copy wrong or did every character in the film mumble incoherantly? We had no idea what was going on! That ( Read more... )

Aww, pretty Red *pets picture* Why do those photobooths always make people look really pale? I've always thought that... It's no wonder the airport security control doesn't turn round to people and tell them that they aren't pasty enough to be the person in the picture o_0 and then boot them off the plane ( ... )

Trust me, I was relieved at the paleness! Two weeks ago I went had some other photobooth photos taken and they were DARK and highlighted every spot and flaw! *shudders* Although yes, I pity tanned people who must get looks of suspicious from passport checkers when they come back from holiday!

Keith my pasty white butt I thought that too! Ahaha! But then, I think of those little Colinisms a lot.. :\

it's like there's no feeling up until that point... None at all... Exactly! I was expecting to see a growing attraction, a bonding (mental!) between them at first before they just.. got it on! I'm all for abstract films which don't explain in patronisingly clear terms what is happening at every moment in the film, but there needed to be a clear showing of their relationship evolving! When Ennis' wife saw them kissing I thought "Ooh, this could get interesting", but there was still mumbling and nothing really happened. The ending was quite sad though - the cut to Jack being beaten (it was Jack right, not just Ennis' memories?) especially ( ... )

You know, even though I read 'two days' time, my mind for some reason told me you were moving tomorrow... I'm such a dork *laughs* I'm sure you'll be fine at settling in with your parents ^_^ Families aren't so bad - they have their moments - like when your dad puts his metronome on when you're trying to write slash fiction, or plays A-minor pentatonic scales over bits of TV programmes that involve Griff Rhys Jones in bed with another man... or gets Colin Mochrie mixed up with Colin McRae... or when your mum asks you if you want butter on your bread, when you haven't had it for fifteen years... or doesn't tell you that you have a message on the answer phone until it's too late to do anything about it *nods* Other than that, families are great! *_* Are you an only child, or do you have siblings ( ... )

Hehe, I always get mixed up with time measurements like "Two days time"! It took me ages to work out what a fortnight was because no-one ever explained it to me until I was about nine, and I was too embarrassed to ask!

Ooh, if my Dad talked over slashy moments then there'd be issues :p Mum's are weird like that, forgetting your eating habits! My mum's always asking me if I want [something, like peas] with my dinner when I haven't eaten them for years! Tsk. I have one brother who's fifteen, Tom, who is a total nintendo geek, know-it-all and generally annoying sibling :p I don't remember you mentioning any brothers or sisters, but then I don't really so what about you? :)

Ryan and Colin as Cowboys would be fantastic! Whenever I see/hear a romantic OTPlike story or song I always think of Ryan and Colin! *gets sidetracked by cowboy hat wearing Whose Liners* ....
