my my my how the time does fly...
i wish it was last summer.
don't get me wrong, this summer is awesome.
it should be the greatest summer ever.
i can do pretty much whatever i want.
i've been going out and hanging out with my friends almost every day, and i'm not afraid of losing them once we all go to college, because i know who my real friends are now, who i'll stay in touch with.
except, last summer was so much different.
it wasn't as good, but at the same time, it was better.
last summer there was so much to look forward to, so much hope, so much optimism.
and this summer... at the end of the day, when i come stumbling into my house at midnight after spending the whole afternoon/night with my friends, i retire to my room, to write songs about boys (gasp!) and lie awake until 3 in the morning thinking about the same thing every single night.
there's nothing to look forward to this time.
why do i care so much???
i miss you already and you haven't even left yet. :(
