I got that it was a Clockwork orange parody. Did they at least pay you? I hate it when I do a friend a favor,and they they come back with a ton of corrections. I'm like if you'll pay my illustration rates, I'll be glad to fix it for you.

I'm just fried. I don't want to hate art, but at this point I want to burn all my sketchbooks, throw my computer out the window and move to Montana and live with the bears.

Actually, i think it looks good in all colours, except highly saturated cyan. It would like kinda cool done in several colours, almost like a Warhol

I'm sure I can figure out how to make it work, but I think I'm just tired and therefore pissy about everything.

I've been seriously busy with an illustration day job and consistent freelance for the past 18 months and I think I need a break.

I've never really done retail, but my wife has some horror stories.

Here's the thing: All jobs suck. Some jobs are way better than other jobs. Your job is way better than, say, a garbage man. Or the person who scrubs down the tanks at sea world. Or a nursery school teacher. All of those jobs suck way more.

But sometime, your job is going to suck and if you're doing something you love, it'll make that suck too. Retail sucks sometimes. My job sucks almost every day.

Ultiimately, it's whether or not you still love what you do, bad days aside. It's also about how cool your job is. I mean, you could go manage a starbucks. They give good benefits. But then you'd have to go to family events and be that starbucks manager. Are you cool with that?
