Well then, I'm still awake even though I tried to go to bed three hours ago. I wish I knew what caused my weird ass bouts of insomnia, other than stress anyways, but I guess there isn't much I can do about it. Anyways, for the past couple of months the only women I've been interested have had boyfriends (not fun, makes life boring).
Wednesday after my first class I ran into one of said women after class. We walked to Chicago Carryout since I was starving and she needed cigarettes. While there I mentioned that some friends and I are going out next weekend and thought she might want to come. She said Saturdays suck for her (she tends bar) and that she was free from 2-10 and if we did something then I should give her a call and gave me her number. I knew she had a boyfriend and I didn't think anything of it really. Then she mentions that she's going to this reading at Sheffield's. I say I want to go but have another class that I don't really want to miss.
She heads out to grab dinner with her folks and I run into someone else I know before I get my food. HE says he's oging to this thing too and ditchingclass to do so. I decide to head out there to. The reading goes well, my piece is a hit with the audience and afterwards six of us decide to hang out and drink some more. So, while we're drinking it comes out that the girl from the last paragraph broke up with her boyfriend a few days ago. Over the rest of the night she makes a lot of body contact with me etc but not enough to be obvious about her intentions.
All of this being said, I have no idea what the fuck happened. She might have just been drunk, and in which case c'est le vie. She might have been flirting with me, but it wasn't quite that obvious. So now I get to spend the next week trying to figure out what to do. Granted, we all know I'm going to ask her out and possibly make a fool of myself, but it's not like I've never done that before.
Well, I'm going to try this whole sleeping thing again. Talk to all of you later.
