New York City?!
So by tomorrow this time I'll be in New York. Contrary to my subject title, this isn't a surprise--but rather a planned outing with my mother. But when I think of the place I always remember that Pace salsa commercial. "Go get the rope." or "It's time you switched brands."
So I'll be seeing Chicago the musical. This will be my first Broadway play/musical. The idea doesn't initially appeal to me, but when in Rome...pretend you're not a complete cultural philistine and shut up.
My greatest fear is that my mother will try to go purse shopping in basements again. I am not interested in anything that can't be sold in a well-lit area with possible rescue (and not arrest) from fellows in blue if terrible, unforseen consequences should arise. If she presses the issue I will press right back.
