Update.
They just moved hooch from ICU. He’s had two different surgeries on his brain, his ribs rebroken, the fluid sucked from his lungs three times, and he’s had his hip replaced. He’s on a shit-ton of pain killers, and they have him on a lot of antibiotics to prevent an infection of his brain, and because they expect him to contract pneumonia because of the fluid in his lungs, his breathing machine, and his broken ribs. They also pumped his stomach, because he sort of threw up, if you’d call it that. It was like he just leaked out of his mouth. They say that’s typical of a head injury as bad as his, and it means the brain is healing. But he still hasn’t woken up or started breathing by himself. Because of the severity of the injuries, they’ve told me he might never. Apparently they had to resuscitate him in the helicopter. He died for two minutes. But I can’t let myself believe that he won’t be okay. All I can think of when I look at him is how mad he’s going to be when he wakes up and finds out they took out his lip ring and all his ear jewelry and cut off his hair.
