"Neither did I, really. Half the time was just talking him into it." Turlough does a remarkably accurate impression of Three, "'The TARDIS is not some sports car to drive about in and impress your boyfriend.' I'm glad he doesn't know about me having crashed the Brigadier's car the day I met his future self. We'd be spending our anniversary at home, that's for certain."
He gives Alonso a kiss on the cheek before heading to their bedroom. "I'm rather excited about this trip, if you couldn't tell. Not only are we finally getting out of the Nexus, not only do I get to use the TARDIS without the Doctor to get us all into trouble, not only is it our anniversary, but we get to stay overnight and enjoy ourselves and not sleep in the TARDIS. That doesn't happen very often you know."
He's checking through what Alonso's packed for him, but doesn't need to add anything. What a good boyfriend. He smiles, "Usually we land, think 'Oh finally somewhere pleasant' and no sooner has the Doctor opened his mouth to tell us where we are than someone's at our back with a spear or a gun and we've all got our hands in the air..."
