sushi galore

oh my good gord..
that was the most sushi i've ever seen.
Jun went all out. the place was called Tokyo Sushi in Mississauga...

first, barley and corn tea, to a rice chowder, then minatoya is it called? a jelly made from chestnuts. from there we got garden salad, then kimchee, beans, pickled cucumbers and sproats. next was tempura shrimp, squash, greens... man. so good
then we got beer (asahi of course) and sashimi. I have never eaten so much sashimi. suuuuch a big platter, so pretty, *GOBBLE*
next came the futomaki and nigiri sushi. 100 pieces?
oh man. i ate sOO much. it was at this point that we got miso soup and when we polished off the inhuman amount of delicious sushi (fresh grilled eel, salmon, tuna, hamachi, california[with two different kinds of roe], shrimp tempura)
the mound of wasabi was large enough to claim in a military battle, and the ginger matched it of course.
wow.
and to top it off, my favourite way of finishing a meal of sushi... orange slices!!

spectacular.

tycko (the manager who got me thinking of promotions in the first place) and i had a talk about life tonight.. he wants me to kick something's ass, for sure.
doing inventory with just the higher-ups and being treated as an equal tonight was quite uplifting. i feel believed in. i've been let into the semi-circle of management and boy is it sweet.
i'm meeting with the district manager of NS/NB on friday over coffee. tycko says to be assertive and push for management. i think i will. stress what?
i have to pack most of my belongings tomorrow. time to put a few shot-gun blasts in procrastination.

sigh.

i'm home on tuesday night, and i want to see people shortly thereafter. I DO.
