Seriously

I'm in Tehran, and they're still rioting. No news can get out, and the only non-IRI news that gets in is the English language BBC, which is a great resource for those of us who speak English. But I don't need the BBC to tell me that they're starting a revolution a block from my hotel.

This is the only way I can find to get news to the outside world that I'm alright. Facebook, gmail, twitter, outgoing calls to the US and most other countires, internal calls, texting, and skype, as well as the Farsi-language BBC, are all being blocked by the IRI.

I'll post more on this later. But can someone please call Ian (if he doesn't check this) and ask him to call my parents and tell them I'm okay? I was supposed to call them today to check in, what with the civil unrest and all, but I can't, and I can't email or text or facebook either. If someone could just tell them I'm fine and not dead it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Viva la revolution!
