Records

I'm going though my record collection in alphabetical order, listening to every one long and hard, giving them a star rating, making a note of what I think or what it's like, listing tracks I would use if I ever become a psych/mod/garage rock DJ, because one day, I swear I will, and then making a list of that band's discography. This is in a journal I have. This is because I love music. This is because I like to collect weird old records and stuff. This is because I'm a nerd. This is also because I'm probably going to sell them all, little by little, and then when I'm settled again, I'll have my notes to go off of.

Today:

Artist: Aerosmith
Album: Greatest Hits (1980)
Stars: 2
Critique: I used to like Aerosmith. Now, I just keep hating them more and more. They think they're the Rolling Fucking Stones, but they suck. Some of their early singles will always have a place in my heart, though, so that's why I'm even giving it two stars, and not running over the album repeatedly on my 1980 Takara road bike. (She sounds angry. Why does she hate them so much? said Jim Gaffigan.)
Songs I would DJ:
(If I ever DJ any Aerosmith besides the following, shoot me.)
-Dream On
-Same Old Song and Dance
-Walk this Way
Aerosmith Discography:
-Aerosmith (1973)
-Get Your Wings (1974)
-Toys in the Attic (1975)
-Rocks (1976)
-Draw the Line (1977)
-Night in the Ruts (1979)
-Rock and a Hard Place (1982)
-Done With Mirrors (1985)
-Permanent Vacation (1987)
-Pump (1989)
-Get a Grip (1993)
-Nine Lives (1997)
-Just Push Play (2001)
-Honkin on Bobo (2004)
(And, God willing, they won't make any more.)

That's what I did this morning. :P
