My camera is broken. I think there's sand stuck in the motor or something. FFFFFFUUUHHHHHHHHHCK. Not a happy story.
Today I managed to reserve my spot on the train to Lisbon tomorrow morning, regardless of my limited Portuguese and the train station employee's limited English. And that was pretty alright.
The place I'm staying at is like staying with relatives (...whose language I don't speak). It even smells like the hospitality of old people. You know what I mean, you've stayed with grandparents at least once in your life. Oh, but when I went in to brush my teeth this morning there was an enormous (okay, not enormous, but pretty big) cockroach waltzing across the rim of the bathtub so I ran out. And after I convinced myself someone else had gone in the bathroom and killed it, I went back in to find it on its back in the center of the tub making a futile attempt to right itself. I think it's now coated in lather clogging the drain.
