Parenting books don't "speak" to me. They always seem to address an older mom, full of guilt for working and into all the shrink stuff, therapy for all (if possible New Age therapy!), "every child is special needs", "child led" everything, and grossly overdiagnosed "issues".
I found one that works for me - my husband even read it, and loved it (and practiced much of it "naturally").
John Rosemond's website should really be mandatory to read when pregnant!
He even comments on the word "parenting", as if it was something you need to learn and not something that had always been around - and I always found the word very weird!
