I had several interesting encounters recently.
First was a religious lady, pregnant, that her adult son was bringing to have an u/s. We started discussing and she told me she has never nursed because it's tiring and inconvenient. Her son answered that she had never tried, and she told him to shut up.
Second was a black guy, talking to another black guy about racism, while I was passing down the street. He said "I wish I was all white all Gaulish, like the lady there", pointing at me. LOL!!!!
Third was a Muslim family, discussing if it was ok to buy non hallal but slit throat anyway, at the closest farm. They were complaining that hallal meat is horribly expensive. Well, kasher is much worse!
Fourth was an acquaintance in her late 30's, pregnant of her 7th (I think), that I met one late evening. She asked me if my girl was alone at home. I said no, BH for parent, and she went like "oh good, I wouldn't trust a toddler to respect her bedtime alone!". True there is no law against this, but... not safe!
