 Yesterday began very hardly.

First, Mati refused to get up. Then she refused to get dressed. Then she refused to turn off the comp ("Doraaaaaaaa!"). Then she refused to go out. So we decided to stay at the hotel a bit longer. That's when she refused to stay.

Once out, she started complaining about the heat, the walking, and the carrying her backpack. Except she said she wanted heat, was impatient to go walking and said would carry her backpack. I had warned my husband she would NOT do all that, but he was fed up of the yelling so he gave in. Whatever.

So, guess what. My husband lost patience in the middle of shopping and back to the hotel it was, with the first taxi! Urgh.

Later in the evening, after Mati had slept and all, we decided to go find a place to have a drink and maybe even something easily checkable to eat (yeah yeah I know, not done in America, but I could give names of rabbanim who do/did that, and even more names of those tolerating it, and you wouldn't believe it :) ).

We ended up at a very traditional place, think no water, just tea and things like "plum wine", "sour plum wine soda", "sour lichi juice". I ended up taking out my bottle of water. Oh and I requested cutlery because eating with chopsticks... nah. My husband laughed that I was the only one with a fork (they didn't even have a knife!) in the restaurant. It was really interesting. Really Asian restaurants in Europe have nothing to do with real food!

At the Night Market I finally had my share of shopping and found a lot of what I was planning to buy. Guess the new shtick (ok, it's not new, but I didn't think he would do it even in a place I was so excited to shop in) my husband has found? If the shop is carrying "sexy" underwear and he notices it, he disapproves, he goes away, and I'm not buying there. Well BH I found what I needed in other places... But no wonder Mati is such a frummie. I've noticed recently that she makes faces and openly turns her head when there is a non tznius person, just like my husband, just he does it less noticeably and doesn't yell me to do it too... LOL

Today I also found great make up, and guess what!!! I found over the knee highs, in tight material not socks, that I looked for everywhere online to no avail, and asked Imamother ladies to send me from America with of course full pay back, and despite all the tznius preaching, no one cared to do a mitsva their friends wouldn't rave about. Or something.

china, raisin di rebetsin, tznius, don't be a chossid shoteh, kashrus, food, shopping, rabbis, europe, vacation, mati, husband, america
