Tv: How come tv shows always stop when you want to know what will happen? Is it really necessary to make me obsess over Stargate sg-1 all week or Plus belle la vie over the week end?
Charenton: Went to Charenton le Pont recently. The community is rather big, they have a kosher butchery and 3 (4?) kosher restaurants. Unfortunately it seems to be made of mostly traditional and light Modern Orthodox people, and again like in my town I would be (one of) the frummie. I liked that the town is twinned with an Israeli town, though. I means the mayor is a good one (mine is twinned with two, actually, although legally you shouldn't have more than one).
I recently discovered a non negligible number of men in my community actually went to yeshiva after graduating high school. Wow. How come they (and especially their wives) are so “light” then??
I still think only Créteil will be:
-close to Paris
-mainly made of machmir Mo and/or mainstream frum people
-not have a majority of charedim
And it's not even expensive, and some places have an eruv. And the Jewish high school (mainstream frum with a Litvish lean) is among the top 20 of the French high schools (probably top 2 or so for the French Jewish high schools).
Italy: Italy seems to be the trendy place to go among imbeciles. Hoping it won’t turn me off my husband’s country too much.
Sp: Husband now studying for special project and getting great grades. I just can’t read the exercises!
Women's club: I find myself actually looking forward to the monthly women’s club in the Beth Chabad. Next time is the birthday of the rebbetzin.
Roses: They're all done!
