Birthday Celebrations
Having a good birthday, love from all over. I just got a call from 6 drunken former co-workers and was regaled with a charming version of Happy Birthday. Jim payed for my new kicky short hair cut and color and I just bought two pairs of Simple Green Toe shoes from Zappos and one of their messenger bags. We also bought some fresh bread from the Great Harvest Bread Company Bakery. Jim has been complaining about the lack of "real bread" here ever since we moved. I think this will satisfy him. And on the way to get my hair cut we stopped at my fave coffee place, Fat Chix, and Jim ended up buying a home made bird house and a plant for charity.
Tonight we may go see a movie and have dinner at the best pizza place in Michigan.
We drove past the lake and there is a kite festival. The bright sunny sky is filled with colorful kites of all shapes and sizes including those with people attached to them. It was fun watching folks getting dumped in the cold water. They were wearing wet suits of course. I even had my first Pronto Pup! Pronto Pup is a corn dog stand that has been on the lake for at least 60 years. It made a fine birthday treat!
Had a little freak out last night that was serious enough for some meds but am feeling better today. Jim, as usual, is cute and understanding and lovely and I'm the luckiest girl ever to have found and married him.
Thank you all for your kind wishes today - I'm having a pretty nice, laid back and peaceful birthday. What else could a girl ask for?
