As far as I know, I haven't seen anything about the graphics being a problem. I have been informed, however, that some of the other sorting questions are from Lumos (sorry, I don't have the link handy). And then I received this from a mod at pf_sorting who's also a H_E member.:
If you want specifics, they stole the following questions from pf_sorting:
Which character do you relate to the most?: If you were to receive a Quidditch broom in the circumstances that Harry had in the third book, would you have gone to ride it immediately, or would you have had it examined like Hermione suggested?: What house do you feel you're most like?:
The first and last are basic questions, but we have those on there [ not sure if they are on others ], and the second one is most definitely ours. Just look on the info page. They better fix it or I will hunt them down >.>. I've had enough trouble with PF as it is. The nerve of them. They even advertised in PF. They're obviously being banned.
~~~~~ To be perfectly honest, I'm rather certain that the majority of this was the work of one person. I also think your community is a good idea and has its place. However, I'm not sure if communities would be willing to give permission if it's asked for now, knowing that things were used without permission to begin with. I'd suggest talking to that one person (your main mod), and finding out what came from where, and then asking permission to use or paraphrase it.
Lol. Yeah, I understand. We've gotten a lot of people applying recently and then acting quite immature about being turned down. (sort. hee.)
And I appreciate your help. I'm glad I got to say something before our resident hot-heads jumped in to 'defend our honor'. Y'all are nice people, really.
You said Y'all are you a southern too? heh, anyways- I think i edited out content that i knew for a fact wasn't ours by looking at pf_sorting's rules and application and your own. Questions like who is your favorite character are pretty standard in all sorting comms so that may be the only ambiguous one remaining.
Yeah, I don't see how anyone can expect general questions not to be repeated. And, no, I'm not. I'm from Iowa, but ever since I started taking Spanish in 9th grad (oh so many years ago now), I realized that English lacked a plural 'you' form. And so I adopted y'all because it works really well, and it's quite fun to say.
Yeah, nearing 9 for me. I don't *feel* that old. I shall indeed contact you if something else gets pointed out. But I think we're all really appreciative of your efforts, and we wish your community luck. If Hogwarts_elite didn't take up all my time, I might very well look into joining myself. ;-)
