update (work, kitties, life in general)
to be followed by what will likely end up being a fail article, but we'll see...
i have become fairly proficient at my job. i can do most the things a typical driver does and even a few things the insiders do (short of actually MAKING pizzas). swish was offered a management position (at least 40 hours YAY!!) and now that i'm driving i'm getting 20-30 on a regular basis and occasionally 40+
the kitties are getting big, mama has them weaned for the most part and they are all very loving, two of them will curl up in your lap and start purring and one likes to sleep on my pillow at night. mama is going to go to a new home (my mother knows someone who wants a cat and she has no trouble with being the only pet, is completely house broken and all that) and i may start trying to find homes for two of the babies... butthey'resocuteijustwanttokeepthemall!!! :P
got the motor swapped in my truck (more YAY!!!) and am putting all the extra little pieces on and making modifications as needed (YAY!!! for non-stock parts). i'm hoping it will be running sometime this coming weekend, because if it is we're taking it to wichita instead of the $600 honda. i'm sorry but i trust my friend's and my slapped-together handy work over a car that uses 3 quarts of oil every gas tank... and we are doing MUCH better than just slapping it together :D
so yes, wichita. i will have my butt cape signed by ed, mustang, and hawkeye. even if i have to camp in someone's yard (couchsurfers.org is a godsend!) i will do it. even if i have to starve myself at work every night and put every last cent of my delivery tips in the bank for gas (and oil) money, i will do it. neither hell nor high water nor a lethargic swishie can dampen my determination. the only thing that can keep me from going at this point is lack of vehicle, and i will continue to baby that f*cking car if i have to!!
