(no subject)
Well that took forever. I'm kinda embarrassed to say i'm in Spanish 4 and admit how much time that took me. It's sad.
This will defiantaly be my hardest academic year. Fortunately, I get to test out of my 6th subject HL class. YAY! One less test senior year. I like all of my classes so far other then spanish but thats only because i'm not great at it.
Biology is so much fun and our teacher is like 3 feet shorter then me. She's so cute and sarcastic. We had a "canal" day which consists of going to this ditch and studying things. I learned how to test water for dissolved oxygen, using some acids, nitrate, and something phospheric. We found asian clams that were brought over from (oh man! guess where) to be eaten. When people bought too much they threw them into the canal. They had had shell sex and now scientist at Georgia Tec are studying them. In the class we have a turtle named Darwin, a tarantula, a bunch of hissing cockroaches, and fish. We also have a lot of dead animals in cases like huge beetles with the wings spread open, and a whole shadow box of really pretty butterflies.
I.B. English is just as easy as A.P. English was. I have the same teacher so i've done most of the stuff before. I do recommend taking a class a year ahead of you if given the chance. The A.P. class is going to help me pass I.B. so much. I love it. Today we looked at a passage in, "The Great Gatsby", after we studied it for motifs, themes, etc. she played Cold Play, "Clocks". We had to write a journal entry on how the two were related. Talk about relaxed. The music was a wonderful element, regardless of the fact that it was Cold Play. (an ok song)
Enough about school. I'm getting over what ever made me sick. I was going to go to the doctor but decided not to and went to school. This new attendance policy is bullshit. I'm so pissed off about it. Are you kidding me? Now we can only miss four days. (thats excused absences included)
Lol and they have truant officers on the force now. School systems are complaining about not having money to comply with the "No Child Left Behind" act but they can spend tax money on something stupid as this.
Another strange dream. Another fighting dream. People say you can control what happens in your dreams and I think this is the first time I actually constrained myself from fighting in the dream. It was weird. Pretty awesome though.
I still havent gotten a check from my job. Today I went to pick up my first one for four weeks, and they didnt have it. Apparently no one sent in my application so i'm still not listed as an employee. I have work so many hours that they couldn't put it all on one check. "Well, a third of your hours are on this check and the other two thirds has already been added to your next one, but you dont see to have a check yet." I've been working for almost a month. It's cool though.
Well its late i've written a novel :) and i'm tired.
