today was...wow. this whole week has just been off the charts.
Of course I had strep throat, as we all know. They put me on this medication called a Z-pak. every single time I took the medication, about an hour later I would vomit it right back up. I called the doctor yesterday, and he prescribed some amoxicillin. within about 4 hours of taking it my throat was better. I managed to eat some soup, but the chicken was harder to swallow. I even slept through the night.
The medication, though, makes me have very awkward dreams. they're very vivid and real, sometimes scary, sometimes things that should be happening in real time. I dunno. I wake up really confused and wondering if things really just happened or if they were dreams. Even right now I feel like I'm dreaming.
I came into work. I was going crazy sitting in bed. My throat isn't killing me anymore and I can actually sit up without getting dizzy so I figured why not sit up at work? Work gets it's own separate rant, possibly later. i dunno. it's a mess.
anyway, getting here was a DRAG. yes, i used a 1950's term. that's how horrendous it was. i had to dig my car out of the snow. Jamiah suggested I use hot water to melt the snow away. it worked a bit, but the wind had blown all the snow under my front right tire and trapped the damn car in the driveway. luckily my dad heard the exasperation in my voice over the phone (and the fact that I said I was going to take THE BUS to work. nothing against the bus, but since I sat in bum pee about 3 years ago, I've since decided the bus is only used in extreme situations.) about a half hour after I called him, he came to dig me out. i was still too weak to operate a shovel and i really had no idea what I was doing. i saw him and just burst out crying. thank God for my dad, seriously.
So I got to work around 2:15. my car is shaking now because the snow knocked off the alignment or something. Really pissed off about that. i may have to go SUV because of that. I HATE SUV'S! they're so fucking ridiculous! but that 4 wheel drive feature would've so come in handy in this case. So now I have to go to Monro or something after work so they can look at my front end. It needed to be looked at anyway. Last year in the winter I had bald tires. I hit an ice patch and skidded into a curb. the car was fine and so was I, but from that point on if the wheel was straight, my wheels would point to the left to the left. (damn Beyonce) I don't know why I never bothered to get it looked at, but now the car starts shaking at 55mph, so I can't have that. dammit. luckily i still have money.
oh well. Devil, you can't stop me.
I need to find a copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I just finished Order of the Phoenix, and hmm... Goblet of Fire is still my favorite. Actually Order of the Phoenix just ended up making me really upset at Harry and Dumbledore. Like, none of that shit would've had to happen if Dumbledore had just been honest from jump. And Harry, just... damn could you ever just listen? i swear, kids think they know everything.
girls night in tomorrow. well, not girls, anyone who wants to come i guess. just low key game night. i need to be low key more often. i'm almost certain that's how i got sick.
