need some help!

hey football fans. the roomies and i are considering throwing a Super Bowl party. We've got the football snacks and shit going on, some beer pong for those less interested in the game, and other typical stuff. one other thing i want to get going is a pool for the scores. you know the one with the grid where you have the numbers 0-9 and you have people buy a square?

anyway, i'm probably going to charge $2 a square which would make the prize about $50 a quarter, but I'm not too sure about that. I'll decide later. What I do question is the possibility of empty squares. What if everyone doesn't buy a square? What do I do with the empties should they come up at the end of the quarter? Also, I've been to parties where people choose the square/score they want, and others where they leave it all up to chance and shuffle the numbers in a hat after the names have been added. which do you think is more fun? Personally, I like the random method, but I want input so I can get as many of my guests to participate as possible. I also want to have this all sorted out beforehand so there's no drama and people crying about how unfair it is.

and if there was any doubt, i don't give a shit about the actual game. this was just a reason to try and get rid of a surplus of beer that we have.

parties, sports
