I wrote my mom an email proposing me getting my GED, this is what she wrote back:

Would this enable you to enroll in college next year as planned? I am
leaning towards this idea since I realize that you seem to need a different
environment. I think you have outgrown Killian in many ways and would
benefit from a higher level of study and a different form of education. I
just do not want any detour or any hindrances from enrolling in college
next year.
