cluegirl has been complaining recently about false letters claiming unpaid debt for subscription services. We recently got a very strange letter, perhaps part of the same scam?
Ours was from a company called Quality Paperback (QPB). Not only have we never heard of them before, they have apparently been trying to charge some other poor sap's credit card, as the number they reference is not one of ours.
Interestingly enough, there's been multiple lawsuits filed against this company and its affiliates:
