I had a R/G fic that didn't work out. This is what I salvaged.
Title: Last Summer
Pairing: Ron/Ginny
Rating: PG
Word Count: 332
Warning: Incest and underage kissing.
Ron first kisses Ginny in a summer that feels like the end of their childhood. This year mirrors last year to the point of boredom but with an ever-present impending sense of 'the end'. ('And they lived happily ever after?' says Ginny, hopefully, squeezing Ron's fingers. 'Dunno,' says Ron, and looks away).
He first kisses Ginny up a tree in the orchard, while she's learning over the branches, staring down at the world below, watching everything go by. She's frowning thoughtfully, her freckles creased together, her tongue between her lips. Ron always holds her hand when they climb, partly because he's afraid she'll fall down but also because he worries she might fly away, leaping from branch to branch and into a cloud.
He kisses Ginny clumsily at first, because he leans into her and loses his balance and she grabs hold of his sleeve and pulls him upright, against the trunk of the tree and she kisses him this time, as though this is a new game. She tastes of strawberries - not real ones but that sort of plastic pink of her lipbalm. She is relentless with her kisses, giggling into his mouth and tugging at his sleeve still.
'Because I'm going to miss you,' he says, even though she hasn't asked him anything. She frowns at him (always frowning) as though it's not anything other than just a game. (And it is a game, really, of course).
On the morning that he's due to leave for Hogwarts, he wakes up to find Ginny sobbing all over him, puffy-eyed and tearstained cheeks as though she's been crying all night.
'Go back to your room, Gin,' he says, suddenly terrified that if somebody finds her here their secret will be out - kissing isn't something brothers and sisters do, even if they don't mean anything by it - but she doesn’t move, sobbing into his duvet and eventually Molly comes in to comfort her and doesn't ask any questions at all.
