Pop some corn

Watching the cult of Trump melt down because the pro-life judge he appointed after a sham vetting process actually made a pro-life decision is a little hilarious.

The Most Useless Job Interview Ever

Amy Coney Barrett interviewed for a lifetime appointment on the most powerful court on the planet, and refused to tell us anything about how she would perform that job

You know what? I do support telling people they have to get vaccinated. I'm not perfectly okay with mandates in plenty of circumstances. But you probably use a seatbelt. If you have kids, you've probably used a car seat. And I've never had a problem with the requirements to vaccinate children for school because if you haven't heard yet, they eradicated polio that way. And had gotten rid of the measles until the anti-vax crowd brought it back. And having had a funeral for my baby, I absolutely, 100%, assure you that unless you are completely soulless and heartless then you are never ever getting over it if something preventable happens to your own child. I'm so sick of people praying and gnashing teeth over loved ones dying of COVID. Gosh, if only science had come up with a way to prevent that! These people are calling her a coward and traitor, beyond evil, a waste of an appointment, and claiming "they got to her", etc. Can we all agree that these are the folks who could be caged up together for a while? Tell them they're going to a barn dance, lock them in, and then let herd immunity and Jesus sort it out. We need to be done with the toll and impact they are having on the rest of society and the economy. It's not just a personal choice. The only issue I have with mandating it is the maskholes who are going to buy fake vaccine cards.

Anyway, someone else in the extended family died today. He found out he had COVID pneumonia over the weekend and was sent home to die because there were no beds available at the hospital or even the next 30 miles of hospitals. Which honestly, is how it should be. We can't do anything for this person, but maybe we can save the car crash victim. Why go to the hospital and get help from the people you didn't trust with science a week ago, anyway? Go get some essential oils and pray about it. A few days later he could get into the ER and was up and griping, which everyone took as a good sign. I didn't say how much I've already heard about surly anti-vax COVID patients griping until they die. Today he was sent to hospice but didn't make it even a few hours. That's how fast it took him. Political beliefs aside, he had a big heart for his family and friends and was a talented artisan. He has kids and grandkids sobbing and sad. He had changed his mind in the hospital and planned to get the jab once he recovered, so at least he has left a legacy of children and grown grandchildren who are now getting vaccinated.

His wife is probably going to follow in the next day or two, if not tonight. On an imaginary list (oh, is it just me, again?) of people who I'd mind catching it the least, he hadn't even made an appearance. I didn't agree with many of his opinions, but he was someone who you were allowed to disagree with and not be dead to them or threatened, etc. I know - low bar. That's some of the family's way, though. He wasn't that guy. He might believe "you drank the kool-aid", but he'd still shut up and let you talk. There don't seem to be too many people like that left on either side of the aisle anymore, but certainly not on the right.

Get vaccinated, people. You can feel a little safer and also the 5G is lit.
