The Whatnot

How is it that the more technology we have to make life easier, the less time we seem to have to enjoy? It's weird. I have taken a break from the world wide web for the most part and especially social media which just isn't good for my soul, even if it does make a few things I need to change painfully obvious.
Anyway, back during the 4 days of rain that happened with the way too quick before Minnesota was ready thaw, we found a flaw with the new gutters. Mostly we found it soaking my craft room carpet. Newer carpet, natch. So that's all scraped up and tossed, the gutter spout is expanded, and once I finish everyone's taxes I will get to cleaning and reworking it. None of the other household projects can happen until the craft room does. Blah. We had it way better than some, though, so I will suck it up. I am acutely aware of time or anything else wasted. Losing a dear friend really seems to be amplifying that feeling.
I am thinking something really beautiful and cool with epoxy. It is a basement, after all.
On the plus side, everything that had been pushed into my fitness room is now in the library room because who knows when we'll get to that, anyway. All I know is Momma needs her barbells.
So that's it for the moment. Minnesota is starting to thaw, and although it is a giant, half-snowy mud hole right now, Piper and I both want to be outside in it.
