Librarian Flist -- Help!
I specialize in Readers Advisory, but every now and then, a stumper comes in. A patron asked a colleague to help him find this author .. I'm stumped.
Here's the description: A thriller/suspense author, NOT a mystery or police procedural. The hero/protagonist has an eye-patch (maybe?). It's a series and the author is pretty popular and has written maybe 4-5 books about this character in the last few years.
That's it. No other specifics. Time, place, plot ... nada. My best guess was that the patron was confusing the author Andrew Vachss (Burke novels) with the character. Vachss has a black eye-patch and looks bad-ass.
The patron says not Vachss.
Does anybody have any guesses on this?
