Okay, so... this is really silly.
This is a 1985 Russian version of "The Hobbit". Looks to be a bit low-budget, to say the least. Someone on YouTube has gone and broken it up into six parts and added "helpful" subtitles for us, although the person doing the subtitles obviously doesn't speak any more actual Russian than I do. ANYWAY...
Not necessary to watch all of them, or even all of this one, but at least skip through it and enjoy a rather bizarrely-portrayed Gollum at the beginning, and then perhaps skip on to a bit past eight minutes or so, because the mighty spiders of Mirkwood had me falling out of my chair. And that's about all. This is part four of six parts and the majority of the entire thing centers around how much pot hobbits smoke and what assholes dwarves are, and a lot of jokes about fucking your mother.
Like I said, at least watch Gollum for a minute and then skip to about 8:30 for the spiders, because they are awesome.
