[Video 01, Action 02] Somewhere Out There, Someone Knows

[Kirk works hard into the night despite his promise to Bones to sleep, and soon, he thinks he understands. He believes the video is locked to only those who are alien to the town, those like himself, Bones, Flynn, and the others he's met in such a short time. He's never one to take anything lying down, including his own capture and more importantly

We'll be there in a bit. We've had to find her a pair of shoes and a coat so she doesn't freeze first. [Flynn sounds a bit dry, but not at all irritated, when the voice feed shuts off. He didn't have a problem adding shoe "shopping" to his list of things to do, though finding a place was important.

It takes a few hours, but eventually, Flynn does arrive at the coffee shop, hand in hand with Rapunzel. They had managed to find her a decent pair of shoes and a jacket (with some helpful larceny from the resident thief)]

[There's a voice in the background of that's saying it feels like her feet are gonna suffocate. That's what happens when you don't wear shoes for eighteen years.

And she'll be skipping along at Flynn's side when they get there. First thing she does when she deems it warm enough inside is kick off her shoes. Then she yanks her hair all the way in.]

[Flynn notes the familiar shock as he reaches out and manages to catch both of the shoes as they made their final descent. This apparently comes as no surprise to him, and grins]

Now, I know what you're thinking! 'That's a LOT of hair! My goodness, how did she grow all that hair out!' I know the look. [He puts the shoes in his satchel and puts his hands on his hips]

Jim, I'd like you to meet Rapunzel.

[magicgoldenhair]

[Rapunzel giggles a bit. Everybody was always so surprised by her hair.]

Hi Jim~ Hee, Flynn's face looked kinda like that when he saw it all.

[It looked even more like that when she healed his hand.]

[Oh yeah. Totally a kindred spirit; he'd seen moves like that SOMEWHERE before. Just as long as he didn't try anything funny]

Did I not mention the beauty? I figured it went without saying. [Flynn crosses his arms and smirks in a smug sort of fashion] It's not like I could even find the words to describe her. [That's right, smooth as ever]

Rapunzel, this is my friend Jim Kirk.

Seventy feet, actually!

[Yes, she measured it once. Don't judge.]

Oh, you two!

[You have Rapunzel blushing now, what's up with that?]

I'm not thaaaat pretty. It's nice to meet you though, Jim!

[Flynn grins and puts his arm around Rapunzel's shoulders; he really did like this guy, and didn't at all seem threatened]

Hey hey, Jim, I thought we were here to discuss business, not flirt with my girl. [He glances over at Rapunzel with a softer smile]

[Rapunzel giggled and leaned comfortably against Flynn as Pascal squirmed out of her hair and onto his shoulder.]

I'll try not to interrupt too much~

[And explore this shop of coffee. You should all hope to god that she doesn't drink any.]

[Flynn grins and steps over, pulling a chair out for Rapunzel. He helps her gather up her hair so that it's not stretching up and out the door, and sits down in his own chair comfortably]

So. I can't say that I've met any of our captors, but I did go and check out the library not long after I got here, to see if there was anything there worth finding out. It was a pretty interesting trip.
