[Lily looks a bit bedraggled and ill. She sighs heavily before she speaks.]

I was wondering...do people often just...disappear without warning?

[She bites her lip, placing her hand over her belly, absentmindedly.]

James has been missing for a full week now. He's missed Christmas.

[She wraps her arms around herself. Her face has gone very pale

I can make you tea or somethin'. Mum makes us tea whenever we're sick, says that grandmum would do it for her too.

[Lily smiles at the boy hovering nearby. It's been really lovely having him here. Kept her from completely falling apart when James disappeared.]

Thank you, Albus. I would really like that. Do you know where everything is?

I think so and I can grab a stool for anything I can't reach. And it shouldn't take too long.

[He's about to run off to do that but stops, almost tripping over his own feet.]

Um... Do you like it any special way?

[Her smile widens. What a sweet boy.]

Just a drop of milk, please, love.

[Scuttling off to make tea! She might here something fall but Al will holler back a quick "I'm okay, nothing's broken!" before getting back to his task. After about five minutes, he's making his way back to Lily, carefully carrying a full mug of tea.]

[It feels really good not to be alone right now, and Lily grins when Albus comes back with her tea. She pats the bed beside her, inviting Albus to come sit next to her.]

Thank you, love. I don't know what I would do without you here.

[Al sits beside her and leans his head against her, giving her a one-armed hug.]

You're welcome. I'm glad I can help a little.

[She hugs the boy back with one arm while she sips at her tea, which is excellent. What a brilliant boy.]

More than a little. A lot.

[She sighs and kisses Al's forehead.]

I was thinking...since you're meant to be at Hogwarts, maybe I could teach you a little magic. Get you started so you're not behind when you go home, how does that sound?

Lemme know if you want anything else, okay? If your sick, you gotta rest.

[Al smiles. His mom and Molly would sometimes threaten to charm the blankets if the kids were sick and wouldn't rest.]

That would be great! I got my wand with me at least.

I think I'll be alright. But thank you so much. I'm already feeling a bit better.

[She smiles back.]

Brilliant. Are there any subjects you're particularly interested in?

Um... Transfiguration seems pretty neat. And Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Charms. Everything really.

[Excited, this one.]

I can definitely work with that.

[His excitement is putting her into a much better mood.]

Charms is my speciality, actually. Although I did very well in Transfiguration and Defence, too. I was Head Girl, did you know that? James was Head Boy, too.

I never knew that! I know James played Quidditch, my dad did too.

He was the captain of the team! A Chaser, although he played Seeker too. He's actually got a broom here, I could teach you how to fly, too, if you like.
