I guess where you are from your body isn't used to cold?

The planet I was from is a desert planet, so you are correct in assuming such.

A desert? Then this time of the year must be awful for you.

[vulcancommander]

Yes, and the place on Earth where I stayed during my training and education Starfleet was not as warm in the winter as I would have hoped. When I was transferred to a ship, I did not bring cold weather clothing as I can keep my quarters to a suitable temperature.

Now it is hard for you to do so? You might want to try first multiple layers of clothing before you find something suitable.

I have been keeping the clothing I brought with me clean through daily laundry chores, thus I only have the two shirts I have on my person. The Starfleet black shirt and my blue tunic. The material is not suitable for colder conditions.

These indeed don't seem like the warmest set of clothes. I could lend you one of the kimonos I had found around here until you found something better. I think they do a good job holding off the cold.

I do not think I could accept your clothing as you will need it to keep warm as well.

It is no problem for me. I am quite used to the cold. The province I am from is known for it's hard and long winters.

If you are certain you will not mind allowing me to borrow a kimono from you, then I will accept the offering.

I am already in the library, as I live here. [There's almost amusement there in his voice, but it doesn't really show in the feed because he knows that Kanetsugu didn't know.] I live in the upper floor of the library. Would you like for me to meet you on the main floor instead?

Yes, that would be nice. I'll bring the kimono over.

[Spock nodded, and moved to get up. Removing the blankets from his person, folding them and laying them on the bed, the Commander headed out of the room down to the main floor to wait for Kanetsugu at a table. Always a Vulcan out to get more information, he pulled a book on Japanese history as well to keep him occupied while he waited.]
