[Kanetsugu had just a long talk with Temper Vale. It gave him ideas. So if anybody looks they will see Kanetsugu wearing a very determined face.]

I've just talked to someone who might have a cure for the ones that turned into zombies. The basic condition is we need blood of a person before the person was turned and after the person was turned.

But that's so dangerous. What if they can't find a cure in time to heal you. What if it kills you?

And what if you bite the person you go with, you'd be endangering a lot of lives like this! [Her expression is one of concern, because really this could go bad in any number of ways]

I do not fear death. I have planned something. The question is if it works properly.

That is why I have been asking for a skilled fighter. I might be a warrior, but it is not like I cannot be defeated.

Well-- [She sighs and shakes her head, as if amused]

I'd offer to help, but I'm not a warrior by any means. So I'll wish you luck instead and hope you pull through this alive... Ish.

[She gives him a smile] When you're cured, you can come see me for tea! That can be your reward! [THIS IS A GREAT IDEA AND NO ONE CAN SAY OTHERWISE.

motivating the troops with tea is always good]

Please to meet you, um--! [How is she supposed to pronounce that. She makes a few failed attempts at pronouncing it before giving up and giving him a suffering look] ...I don't suppose you have a nickname I could call you, do you?

My name's Winnifred-- but please, just call me 'Winnie.'

One of the ladies here decided to call me "Kane", but I had never been nicknamed previously.

It is a pleasure to meet you, Winnie, even if the circumstances are somewhat grim.

Would you mind if I borrowed that, then, and called you that?

Well, we must try to make the best out of a bad situation, shouldn't we? Keep the morale up, and all that! And making friends is always good, regardless of the situation, I suppose...

Not at all.

That is a good way to look at it indeed.

[There's a small hesitation.]

Yes, a friend is something irreplaceable, after all.
