Ah... can you get inside a building? Put a closed door between you and them.

[Lavi will come help, but if France is fleeing from assailants he's going to be hard to pin down his location for a rescue.]

[He takes the suggestion and escapes into one of the apartment buildings, panting.]

[The door rattles, and Francis has a damn hard time keeping it shut by himself. He locks it, then opts to run upstairs.]

We're just that lucky, it seems. Toss something heavy in front of the door. I think I recognize the part of town you're in.

[The redhead grins a bit.] I'll come walk you somewhere safe, if you'd like. I'm getting pretty good at fending these things off.

[He nods and then actually pauses to take a look at the camera]

[What the heck was it with one-eyed redheads in this place? Or redheads in general...he seemed to run into and attract so damn many. He stares for a moment more before shaking his head and shoving some furniture in front of the door.]

[Lavi blinks at the look. But he summons up a grin anyway.]

Do me a favor and hang something out the upstairs window. Towel. Bed sheet. Table cloth. It'll make it easier to track you down.

[He nods and heads that way, ripping a curtain out of the window and hanging it half-out, shutting the pane on it.]

[Lavi grins once more, tosses a quick salute at the video feed and heads out.

It's not all that long before there is a sound of a scuffle outside. Lavi is throwing his weight around -- in the form of a giant hammer that smashes a bit indiscriminately. Eventually he's knocking at the door, casually enough.]

[...that sounds SO damn out of place right now, the knocking. Reminds him of something a certain other cycloptic redhead might do...

He opens the door, bewilderment apparent.]

[And on the doorstep is Lavi, a little splattered with blood and gore, but grinning cheerfully enough, leaning on the handle of his still rather large hammer.] Hi!

We probably ought to get going. There are more of these things out here, after all. So where're you off to?

[A little grin and he gestures.] Shall we be off? [He slings the hammer over his shoulder with a pause.] I don't think we've met officially, have we?

Yeah, the General and I are acquainted. Technically I live in the same house as him and Allen -- though I wind up crashing at the library pretty often.
