4th Void [video/action]

[To say he had a pleasant experience in the catacombs or back "home"? He'd just stab you through the chest and be done with it. No laughter, no monologue, just pure, unadulterated hate for the reminder that no matter what amount of training he had he was still weak. He'd definitely seen better days, the cloth around his waist even more torn than ( Read more... )

[Marluxia, like the other zombies, is attracted by the commotion. He may be a mindless predator now, no better than an unversed, no longer a Nobody, but neither is he is no slow, shambling zombie. Perhaps the muscle memory is what keeps him in the shadows, stalking towards the flames. What does he care if he catches fire? He feels no pain, no fear, only gnawing hunger.

He shambles through the dark, slowly flanking towards Vanitas' rear flanks.]

[Vanitas would beg to differ on the before and after bit... Then again, it's Vanitas. He thinks everyone is lacking in a brain. Still, he can't help but notice the other... would "presence" even be the correct term, anymore? Probably not, but he decides to let the Unversed minions at his disposal clear a path and cut down the others around. Go right ahead, Marluxia. Try and bite him if you can.

Except now he's quite literally sunk into the ground, a pool of darkness beginning to form on the bloody streets...]

[Marluxia moves forward a few steps, sniffs the air like a wolf might... then starts to shamble away, obviously confused. The smell of the flesh seemed to be going in a direction he couldn't follow...

He flops down on the ground artlessly, before getting onto his hands, crawling and scenting the ground. He moved like a serpent on the ground, body squirming side-to-side, using palms and thighs to propel himself forward.]

[That...might have been the dumbest move this Keyblade wielder has ever seen. Then again, zombie. It has even less of a brain than the pathetic residents of this city normally do. Not like he cares, except it makes the kill too easy.

The moment that Marluxia prostrates himself and begins "slithering" across the ground, the dark pool heats up with the flames nearby like jet fuel leaked on a runway. It's only a second-long warning before Vanitas shoots out from it, slicing at the Nobody's deceased body with his Keyblade, orbs of fire sprayed about in all directions.] Suffer.

[It was probably pretty unsatisfying, overall. Marluxia's corpse didn't react to any of the pain inflicted upon it, other than to slowly burn and fall apart, still mindlessly crawling, shimmying, moving, slowly puzzling out where it was supposed to go to get to Vanitas, and how it would get there when his limbs suddenly stopped working.]

[He does it for the sickening crunch as the bones snap. Vanitas lands on his feet, aiming once again before slicing up. The strike creates a slash of dark energy, and by the way it's going, the attack is headed straight for Marluxia's head.]

[It was unconscious, but Marluxia shifted his dead body out of the way, still oblivious to the fact he was on fire, one of his chopped off arms already charred. The slash sheared off his other arm at the shoulder, tearing him apart, but still, he kept squirming towards his goal.]

[And that was all the distraction needed for the Iron Prisoner that he'd initially called out from the void of his own heart. A cage shoots up underneath the squirming Marluxia, intending to trap him in so that he doesn't escape until a cure is found. After all, what good would he be for any future plans if the fool were disposed of? Then again, he could always find a backup...]

[Marluxia's corpse doesn't seem to understand what happened to it, now almost nothing but a head with some meaty bits attached at the bottom. What remained lolled against the bars, still trying follow the smell of blood coming through Vanitas' skin and armor.]

[It's a shame because he won't even get a taste. Vanitas charges up one final blast and sends it the former Nobody's way before he turns his back on the cage, walking away from the inferno and into another.]
