[To say he had a pleasant experience in the catacombs or back "home"? He'd just stab you through the chest and be done with it. No laughter, no monologue, just pure, unadulterated hate for the reminder that no matter what amount of training he had he was still weak. He'd definitely seen better days, the cloth around his waist even more torn than

What snaps him out of it temporarily is the black scythe piercing through the flames. Vanitas jumps up out of its general patch quickly, sending a spray of lightning down on the ones who had the sense to duck.
But the sound of the bike skidding across the ground and the zombies going down like bowling pins to a bowling ball earn his attention. He doesn't know why he's taken aback nor why he does it, but he suddenly turns as he hits the ground, sending a flying slash at the zombie on top of the headless rider. The slicing heat misses her by a mere inches as it cuts the zombie clear in half, and he walks over, giving a rather disgusted glare at her moment of weakness.]
Playtime's over, Celty. [He offers a hand up as his little pet captures other zombies in its cage, their undead groans and shrieks acting like a lullaby to him as they catch fire.]

She gets to her feet with his assistance, helmet tilting to glance at her shoulder, but the wound is already beginning to seal itself up, the black uniform knitting up the hole as well until it's seamless once again. Celty gives Vanitas a nod in thanks, and then looks past him at the caged zombies as they burn, flames reflecting off her dark visor.]

Vanitas also isn't used to any form of "thank you", thus this surprises him for a brief second before he has a feeling as to where she's looking at. It's calming to him; he doesn't comprehend the possibility of it being unsettling when it's all in self-defense.]

And then she moves, sweeping the long blade out to clear several zombies heads from their bodies. Get off her bike.]

And those headless zombies? now dragged off by Floods and impaled to a wall before a Tank Toppler rolls on by aaaaand-- explodes!
Yes, he really is having fun with this.]

....
Well, at least it was against zombies and not...living people. Celty turns her attention back to things on her end. She doesn't want to be a liability- or caught up in random explosions.]

Yeah, just be glad that this born-to-be world destroyer is on your side for the time being. And so long as she can fight and not get infected? She won't be either of the above.]

The shadows swirl and stretch out from under her, snaking out towards the figures that try running towards them, holding them in place long enough for her to remove their heads. There weren't nearly this many people in the city, so where were they all coming from? A silly question, she thinks not long after. She'll have to have a talk with Temper.]

As the shadows swirl, Vanitas' pitch-black aura grows. Monsters of all sorts form from it, dispersing into the city as some take flight and circle like vultures around a carcass. He no longer cares about keeping his connection to them secret, knowing that as they die, there will be at least one zombie down as for each of them. This is just all too fun to hold back~
And yes, a talk with Temper would probably be a good thing.]

Between their efforts (likely mostly Vanitas' with all that he's bringing), the zombies seem to be thinning out for the moment.
Oh, and Celty will see about getting in contact with Temper, definitely. Preferably when there aren't things trying to chew on her.]

The Unversed are falling as steadily as the zombies, and he can't help it after a while. He falls to one knee before a wall of Floods surround him like a barrier. He just needs to catch his breath, that's all (even though death certainly disagreed with him).]
See what I meant before? [And yet with all the pain, all he can do is smirk coldly at the thinning numbers of other monsters like a spiteful child.]

She lifts her helmet, looking towards the sky, and she raises her scythe high overhead, the blade and handle lengthening as she spins it. With a great sweep, she cleaves it through the surrounding undead.
And as they all collapse to the ground, the Dullahan glances over her shoulder at Vanitas in silence.]

Two in the shape of vials float about his head, casting a green mist about him periodically. It seems to help somewhat as Vanitas is back on his feet, but it doesn't stop the rage that creates something that looks like a... PUMPKIN?!
Someone obviously likes Halloween.
The other remaining Unversed leap up to their feet again as well, striking out as their master recovers. His eye occasionally twitches, but he turns to look at the dullahan over his shoulder with an even more crazed look in his eyes than usual. What is self-injury?]

Her shadows freed of having to hold anything in place, they slither back along the ground towards her.
Okay kid, that's...probably enough fun for now. The Unversed take care of the last of the zombies, and Celty, after taking one more look about to make sure this is the case, starts towards Vanitas. She's trying not to look at the mess they've left in their wake.]

Aw, but Celty~ He was just starting to have fun! It's all like a pick-me-up to him after his hell back home, and it's like taking candy from a spoiled brat.
He doesn't stop the others from either moving the bodies and such, but the blade vanishes from his hands and he closes his eyes. All this negativity around them and within the city. Vanitas turns to face her, that crazed look vanishing for the time being just before the mask reforms around his face.] ...What?
