[The feed cuts on, rolling once or twice before the picture settles. Framed by tall, uncut blades of grass, the starry night sky is the one and only focus of this video feed. A wispy cloud or two slowly float towards the east, mostly obscuring the moon that hangs in the sky with the stars. Crickets can be heard far from the location of the watch, indicating that it's near the woods. Eventually, a voice filters in to accompany the visuals. ]
I've been thinking about some things for a while now, city! [Her voice is clear, but lacking the usual haughty tone that so often filters into her words] But I've got to be honest, It hasn't exactly been fun. But I actually have something to say that's important! Most of what I have to say is important, but maybe that's a little selfish of me to think.
But I mean it this time. [There's a pause, and it sounds like she has a false start or two before finally....]
I'm sorry. I Actually think I regret doing a lot of the things I did to everyone back before I wound up in this city. I'm pretty sure I regret killing Tavros the most, but I hurt a lot of people I think I want to call my friends! Even if I might have had all of the reasons - ALL of them! - it's not like I had other options. This isn't easy to admit, you know! I'm practically choking on my pride.
But I am sorry. I don't think I can make up for it. I'm not going to apologize to eeeeeeeeveryone, but just know it's sincere! [Her face appears in frame, above the watch as she leans over it. Her hair spills forward and obscures most of the light that would have splashed on her face, but a faint, oddly apologetic and kind smile is settled on her features.]
Terezi, I don't blame you for killing me! It was a pretty good reason, and I forgive you. I probably would have done the same thing if I were in your place. Sorry Karkat, I know I promised I wouldn't tell her, but this is important.
[She laughs a little, before waving and cutting off the feed.]
