Mr. Nightroad! Mr. Nightroad!! It's not real!!

[One of his boots takes a step toward the apparition. She gently guides him with her hands, moving backwards. He barely registers the voice calling him.]

[[Becca frowns deeply, but she gets her jacket and starts to head to the Haunted House.]]

Shhhhh...it's alright, Abel...you're safe now, you can relax.

[By the time she gets there, Lilith will be looking into Abel's eyes and attempting to lead him into and pull him through a mirror.]

[[Becca rushes forward to knock into the both of them, trying to get the ghost and mirror with one shoulder and Abel with the other.]]

[The ghost is startled and flies back into the mirror with a shriek. Abel is also startled, but his shriek is more girly and he falls on his backside.]

...B-Becca...what...?

It's fake! Don't let them get you, Mr. Nightroad! They're not really who they seem to be. Let's get out of here!

[[She offers him her hand, but her other hand is over her shoulder where she'd slammed into him. She seems to be in far more pain than knocking into someone is worth. There's an idea of how high up the bruises and burns go.]]

[He stands by himself, shakily, and takes her hand, navigating towards the exit of the house. Lilith seems to have other plans for them, however, and follows, shrieking and throwing things at them. Abel places Becca in front of him and shields her from the ghost's volleys. He pulls out his gun and aims-

A-and...no...can't...

He shakily drops the gun and continues to run, until they make it to the exit.]

[[By that point, a young boy that looks much like Becca has joined Lilith in shrieking. And Becca? Becca is nowhere to be seen. She knows the value of a gun, and doesn't want to leave one unattended in this house. She gets away from Abel and runs back to get his gun, then runs straight for the exit, carrying it carefully. She catches up to him and slams the door behind herself and holds the gun out to him. As soon as he takes it, though...

...Becca collapses.]]

[He holsters the weapon, kneeling down beside her. He raises her up a bit to check things out, see if she has any injuries.]

Becca, wake up...!

[[There's a bloody rip in her sleeve, but the blood is dried and there's a bandage underneath. It could use changing, though. She's been hit in the shoulders with a few plates, but no injuries to her head that should have made her pass out. She's breathing, at least.]]

[He picks her up gently, and heads back to the mansion at an incredible, inhuman speed, cradling her close. When he gets there, he'll immediately change those bandages...and then take a look at those bruises and burns all over her arms.]

...poor girl.

[He pets her hair back]

[[There's a lot of them, in various stages of healing. Someone's been knocking her around and using her as an ashtray for years. She nuzzles unconsciously into his touch, sighing softly in happiness. After about fifteen minutes of being out, she comes to slowly, putting a hand over her heart before trying to sit up.]]

It's alright now, we're at the mansion. You should lay back - you passed out when we left the haunted house.
