[video flicks on; rikku is sitting, curled up on a couch in a tank top and some loose sweat pants. she looks really comfy, especially since she's surrounded by pillows and blankets and various tools and scraps of machinery. she smiles a little at the camera.]

This is how a Sunday should be-no monsters, no fiends, no crazy blue-haired men trying to kill the whole world. Just a girl and her machina, and some comfy clothes. Dryd cra cduma. Pid dryd'c paceta dra buehd.

[as if to illustrate this point, she grabs a screwdriver and something that looks like a miniature scout machina, and begins to fiddle with it a bit. she's got her eyes on the tech, but is still addressing the comm.]

I mean, I'm used to crazy things like that-I mean, monsters and crazy guys. But not these kinds of monsters. We have unsent in Spira, but they're just dreams, just memories. Some of 'em get snobby and kill-happy, but you can totally send them and you're fine.

[pause.] Well, Summoners could send them, but that isn't the point. The point is that these monsters are a totally different story. I mean, they're so weird! You can't just go around dancing in front of them and saying, "Have a happy afterlife, or whatever!" They're made of flesh and blood and bone and other things. I think.

[she sighs, then looks up at the camera and makes a concerned/sad face.]

So let's keep the creepy monsters to a minimum from now on, okay?

[totally changing the subject, she grins widely and holds up the machina she's been working on this whole time. she flicks a little switch, and it whirrs to life in her hand, and begins scuttling up her arm. she giggles.]

'Sides, it's a lot more complex to unwire a fiend than a machina-and I've always liked things simple!

[the scout perches on her shoulder and chirps, and with a little laugh from rikku, the recording cuts.]
