[Alice is at her shared apartment, wandering from room to room, turning on lights and double checking things. It's late, though, and she looks tired.]
"Has.. No, he isn't there.."
[She vanishes for a second, ducking to check beneath the beds before resurfacing.]
"Come now, why would he be under the beds?"
[Not having a valid answer for herself, Alice picks up the communicator and slips it into her apron pocket idly, forgetting to turn it off.]
