[The feed on the video is mostly blocked by grinning bookman at the moment, but now he shifts to turn it around, panning over the room. Shelves full of, well, playthings. Dolls. Toys

[Know who is not an adult? Lin. Lin is definitely not an adult.

So he doesn't even respond to this feed. He perks up and starts moving because dang, that stuff looks interesting! He could pull a few nice pranks if he used a few of those things.

Stealth macaw is flying in. Oh yeah. He is totally not getting ambushed. What? He is a master of prankery.]

[Alas for his foiled plans. Too damn stealthy, Lin. But Lavi is hard at work poking through things rather curiously. In particular, he's managed to find a small box of little bundles of white paper that claim to be noise makers. He tries one out now, tossing it on the ground and beaming when it pops in a tiny but loud explosion. ...fantastic. He'll be keeping those.

He hasn't noticed you yet, Lin.]

[Lin flutters behind him quietly, assuming human form while he's distracted. Those noise makers are interesting, though, he'll have to grab a few of those. Grin grin. Lifting his haaaands slooooowwwlyyyyy... Sneak sneak...]

[Lavi appears blissfully unaware. But in his line of work he's gotten pretty good at knowing when he's being sneaked up on -- sort of necessary to keep himself alive, after all. So he turns without warning and fires a warning shot from his squirt gun, right directly at Lin, grinning an obnoxious little grin.]

[brlughfkffff direct hit in the face! Lin splutters noisily, blinking rapidly in surprise.] H-hey!

[Lavi laughs, a cheerful little sound.] Lin! Didn't hear you come in.

[nocrackers]

Well, yeah, 'cause I was being sneaky. [Said with authority. Then Lin sulks a bit.] How'd you hear me?

[Lavi just grins at him a bit.] Didn't. Saw your shadow though. I'm working with one eye, but it's a good eye. Besides, I've gotten used to watching my back. If I hadn't, I'd be dead hundreds of times over.

[nocrackers]

My shadow, huh. [Noteeeed. Lin bounces up to stand alongside him, scrubbing the last remnants of water from his face.] You live a pretty dangerous life. [BUT he presses on, not wanting to linger on a serious topic--] What is all this stuff?

[Lavi is fine not lingering on darker subjects right now. He grins.] It's a fantastic find. Things are a little dusty, but seems to be in good shape. All sorts of things. A lot of it is for little kids, but some of it has potential.

[Lin starts a-wandering. Potential indeed. He finds a slinky and bounces it from palm to palm, fascinated.] Hey, I think I could make some good stuff from these...

[Inventor Lin is not. But prankster? Oho.]

[Lavi blinks at the slinky. What on earth is that thing. Lavi laughs a little.] Yeah? Thought you might be interested in some of this stuff.

Yeah! It's amazing. [Bounce bounce bounce. Ooh, what are these? Watch him get distracted by something else entirely.]

[Lavi laughs a bit and shakes his head. Oh Lin, you're a kid. It's kind of cute really.] The way I figure it, a lot of this city could use a chance to lighten up a bit.

[Guess who has found dominoes? Lin has.] Ohh? You too?

[Oh! Oh those! Lavi is good at those! He honed his skills on the books in the library. It was spectacular.] Oh hey those are fun!

But yeah, me too. I get my head too deep in things sometimes -- it gets counter productive. I need time to let it sort out.
