[Spock hadn't experienced something like this since his
kahs-wan on Vulcan. The test had been a survival test, for a pre-teen Vulcan to survive on his own for ten days without food, water or weapons with him or her within the Vulcan Forge.
But this...this was different. He hadn't experienced such vegetation like this on any planet he and the

YES! YES YES! WATER! Oh, finally, oh thank you thank you! [Running right over now]

Wait, you should not just rush into the water. [He holds up his hands, moving a little towards the path that the other person would undoubtedly take. He was uncertain as to what was in the water, so to jump headfirst - so to speak - into the water had a high probability of being fatal in this dimension.]

Oh no! There's not snakes or something in there, right?! I'm so thirsty! And I reek! And where did you come from? I don't think I've ever seen you here before!

I have not encountered anything in the water, but I have stayed on the bank, gathering the water I need from there. Going into the water may provoke larger aquatic life, or snakes. [He pauses for a moment before going on.] My name is Spock... I am a resident of Ruby City. Perhaps not as long as some of the other residents I have met though....

Ah, I'm Lukas and I've been in Ruby City awhile. It's changed before but it's never gotten this bad.
[Lukas walks over to the edge of the river, looking over, his long tail swishing curiously.]
You don't really think there's anything in there, right? Like piranhas or something?

[Spock would have gone on, but he figured he was rambling and took the liberty of ending that portion of the conversation in favor of following the introduction one.] I have only been in the City for a few weeks and I am still getting to know the habitat of this dimension as it differs greatly from my own.

[That was a lot of words. But he got the gist.]
Well, usually it's just a city, but every so often it changes like this. I think there's some overpowered jerks who do it. Hopefully this won't last long.
[At this point, he kneels down and looks into the water. He's so thirsty, he can't wait any longer to take a drink. He's very careful about it.]

I concur with your statement. I enjoy researching history, not living within it for the most part, even if it does have some benefits for science.
[He clears his throat while Lukas takes a careful drink.] Pardon my forwardness, especially if it is rude, but you are not Human, correct? Or perhaps some sub-species of Human I have not encountered yet until now?

Ah, that's WAY better! Feel like a new man now!
Oh, um, I'm a demon, actually~ Don't worry about it. I get asked it all the time!
Reply
[He eyes Lukas for a moment.] You do not look malevolent.
Reply
Hmm, I can be plenty malevolent! It's a demon's nature after all.

I did not mean to offend you if I have, as I was just pointing out my observation of first meeting you. [He seemed more cheerful than he did malevolent to Spock.]

I was not aware that demons were...[He stopped himself before he could say something that might be classified as 'insulting'.] ...that demons had various personalities that were not completely malevolent.
