[The place Allen had expected to show up when he said goodbye to Lenalee at that time, hadn't been the vaguely familiar train car he'd wound up in. As it was, he walked the familiar steps out of the train car and from the platform. Once he'd reached the city, Allen glanced at the buildings and stared as fragments of now old seeming memory were

[Her voice was soft, thoughtful. There was just that sense of nostalgia to him that she understood. There was a sense of that same odd feeling- at least she thought she had felt -as it had been when she had returned to the city. A pause and then.]
No, I guess... There's a lot of new people when I think about it.

That's unfortunate, that more people have been brought here. [He pauses, and considers a moment. Is it such a bad place, if people who are dead can live?]
I think I remember your voice.

A short veil of silence. But then. Slowly.]
...When I think about it. Yours sounds familiar, too. [A slight crinkle of leather as she held a clenching hand to her chest.] I can't really place it though. ...Sorry.

A hint of an apologetic smile to her voice.]
Allen... I'll commit it to memory this time.
...-Oh. And I'm Xion.
Reply
Likewise, Xion. I'm sure we'll remember each other just fine.
Reply
Mm... This time I won't forget. [A pause.] ...So, is there anyone else you know here? [That he could stay with and all. Maybe some people from his world...]

I think Lenalee was here, but I haven't heard from her. [He sounds a little sad when he speaks, remembering the last conversation he had with her before arriving back into the city.]

I've heard from Lavi but not Lenalee. I haven't really been paying attention lately though. [A little smile in her next words.] They both seem really nice though. Lavi showed me how to look up things in the library and everything. And Lenalee was always making things. [That was one glorious cupcake.]

I guess it really is better this way though. Everyone seems to have things they have to do back where they came from... [But yet she was relieved to know that Lavi at least was still there. And if Allen was friends with Lavi, would they become friends, too, then? She couldn't see Lavi associating with people she wouldn't trust...]

I'm sure she will be fine. Since we're still here, we should worry about that. [...this is mostly advice for Xion, really.] Are you taking care of yourself?
Reply
At his question, a pause. Surprise. And then.] Yeah... I've been. Well. I've been okay. Just taking care of a friend. [Awkward, awkward. Ah, to go into details or not about the way this city's been. Not exactly a pleasant tale, but.]

That's kind of you. If you need any help, let me know alright? For your friend or for yourself.

Another little trail of silence. Surprised into a length of quiet. Even though she shouldn't really be by now. She had met plenty of nice people in the city.]
....I. I will. Thank you. ...But that means the same goes for you, too! [Oh, those words came out a bit louder than she intended. Whoops.]
Reply
Mm. I'll be sure to keep you in mind, Xion. [Though he thinks you sound like more the type that needs protecting than the type that protects -- little does he know.]
