[Despite the troubling and traumatic events that occurred but a week ago, it seems like the city's foreign residents have mostly picked up where they left off. This particular Vessalius is no exception, although it might seem a little strange to some.
Jack's left his watch on the kitchen counter, providing a perfect view of (thus far) controlled chaos. A couple of bowls sit there with what might be batter, dripping along the sides with a wooden spoon sitting in each. There's also a baking pan set on the stove, where several large blobs have been dropped upon it. They're much too big and watery to be cookies. Actually they look more like they're supposed to be pancakes.
...except Jack is currently opening the oven door to slide them in. He pauses, peering at the opening before sticking his hand in experimentally- well he supposes the heat is on but it's not nearly as hot as it probably should be (THANKFULLY).]
