3rd Trial ♎ [Accidental Audio, Video] (Fear Event!)
[The feed turns on rather abruptly and it's clear it was not turned on on purpose, seeing as Terezi is right in the middle of speaking already.]
-justice! I was doing what I thought was right! [The voice is clearly Terezi's, although she sounds a bit more worked up then usual.]
Ha! Are you certain? It seems to me that you were not using your head at all. You accused her merely because you wanted to punish her. You wanted her to be at fault so you could have the opportunity to challenge her. [The responding voice is cold and powerful, but if you ignored the tone, the voice sounds remarkably like an older Terezi.]
That is not true! I am certain she murdered Tavros! And she was the one who caused Jack to rise to power. That is why she has to be stopped! You are a legislacerator! You cannot ignore this evidence!
That is what you told that human you are so fond of. But tell me, was it the truth? I don't believe true justice is your motivation.
It is! This is professional, a business like investigation and subsequent confrontation! If she goes to challenge Jack, then we will all be in danger!
Ah, so this is what it is all about. Self-preservation is it? How laughably selfish. What sort of legislacerator are you? You are an embarrassment. [Terezi is silent. It seems she has no argument.]
You see! Your logic was simple to defeat. Did you ever stop to consider that it is you who is corrupt? Such a pathetic wriggler. Did you honestly believe that you were some sort of hero? [A laugh, cold, but still frighteningly similar to Terezi's own.]
Y-You're wrong. My reasoning may have been a little off, but what I am doing is just!
Do you honesty think yourself capable of challenging me? You could not harm me with your half formed arguments and neither can you touch me with your flimsy weapon. Do not forget who your superior is.
A true legislacerator is open to every outcome and makes plans for each. I'd like to test your theory that I will not be able to touch you.
[There is the sound of metal being removed from it's sheath and then the clang of metal on metal begins, peppered with taunts and jibes from Terezi's opponent. Eventually, the feed times out but before it does, there is the sound of a weapon clattering to the ground.]
[A few hours later, Terezi appears on the screen, looking rather worse for wear. She already had injuries from fighting Vash's shadow and now teal blood seems to be everywhere. But she's grinning rather triumphantly at the screen.]
I have something to add to my investigation. Fears can be destroyed in combat. And it seems they are not as powerful as the person they are meant to be.
