[It had been said once that there was nothing more fearful in the world than the Hungarian Arrows. Hungary has such a vast history with archery that she was practically giddy as a school girl when she was able to get her hands on a bow that reminded her of the ones in her past ( Read more... )

[Roaming... That's all Vash has been doing recently. When not asleep he is researching and when not researching he is out wandering. He's never been one to sit still even back home, but here? Here he is constantly restless. His heavy combat boots have grown more worn in his month here than in the years prior to his arrival. Given that he lives in the forest itself, it is only natural that it has become his favorite place to walk.

However, he's not used to others being out here, where the "safe" part of the forest becomes less so. Hearing Hungary's voice, he heads in that direction and is in time to see her wayward shot.]

Hungary?

[While instinct told her that the snapping of branches and twigs could be a thread, she keeps her bow pulled back just slightly in case of threat. Though, the threat was soon gone when she realizes that it's just Switzerland.

Whew, thank goodness. She wasn't really ready to fend off a creature in her condition. Turning her head she glances at him with a small smile.]

Sorry, was I too loud?

[Vash shakes his head.]

Hardly. I was just passing by when I thought I heard your voice.

[He frowns slightly.]

Your arm is... hurting you?

Mm? [Looks down at her arm and nods.]

Well..yes. It was out of its socket when Prussia and Denmark found me so..I guess I'm a little fidgety with it as of late.

[Takes a deep breath before glancing back up at him with a small smile.] And how are you?

[Vash's frown darkens slightly.]

Out of its socket? Were you in the fighting or... the catacombs?

[He shrugs at her inquiry.]

I was involved in the issue with the Princess several days back, but everything has healed nicely for the most part.

The catacombs. I'm glad Scotland got out of there without much harm done to him. Then again he wouldn't let on if he was hurt..[Puffs her cheeks just a bit.]

Mm, I'm glad to hear that then.

Scotland and his people have a propensity for getting out of the worst situations by simply being more insane than whatever is holding them back.

Be careful out here. Some of the monsters are as restless as I am these days. You should be safe enough here, but... [Vash shrugs.] I would hate for you to get hurt right as you're recovering.

...Yeah that- really does sound like Scotland and his methods.

How sweet of you to be worried. [Smiles faintly and rubs her shoulder again with a small sigh.] I'm sure I'll be okay though. We're all a bit hard to take down after all.

I have little else to do with my time as of late beyond worry. And hard to take down or not, we still feel pain like a normal human. I would not wish pain on you, Hungary.

[Vash frowns a little to himself.]

I'll stay in earshot... just in case, okay?

Don't be silly. You're more than welcome to stay here with me if you'd like.

The company would be nice after all. I promise not to hit you with an arrow. [Gives a small smile as she draws another arrow out from her quiver.]

...

[He's still restless, but Vash knows that he'll just keep worrying as long as Hungary is here... Carefully removing his Carbine so that he can sit comfortably against a tree, Vash settles cross-legged on the ground. To occupy his hands he pulls a still rather rusty sword from its scabbard and resumes restoring it to its former glory with a whet stone and rag. It must be an odd sight to see the country so heavily armed with not just modern weapons, but older ones as well.]

So, Hungary. You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but... Do you remember anything from when you were in the Catacombs?

[Watches him for a moment before she looks back towards the tree. The rustling in them releases a lone leaf that flutters down. Quickly, she draws her bow back and fires, striking the leaf right in the middle and flies to stick against the trunk of the tree.

Lowering her bow, she listens to his question while trying to recall the events of being in there.]

Darkness. Pure darkness down there.

...Darkness doesn't normally dislocate your shoulder by itself.

[His outward attention is trained on the blade, yet he's listening carefully, not only to Hungary but the woods around them as well.]

No. [Sighs quietly and slides out another arrow from her quiver. Pulling back on the string, she lets it fly off and it stabs in the center of the tree.] No Darkness doesn't do that...

I heard a growl- very animalistic...then my head felt fuzzy which probably explains why there was blood in my room.

When I finally woke up. There was just darkness all around me.
